Orchard

We woke up Saturday to 39 degrees, which - so soon after our hot hot hot temps went away - seemed frigid. But we packed up anyway to check out a local family orchard.

By the time we arrived it was sunny and 55 and beautiful. Fall perfection. First visit to this place, we will definitely be back.

We herded ducks and ate warm apple donuts and watched tractors pulling hayracks and walked through the gift shop and tried out this weekend's available apples and picked a peck of 'em. We even came home with a few caramel treats.

I have videos of actually picking from the trees, but no photos. Will see if I can figure out how to get vids on the blog!
